Should I be there during the home inspection?
We encourage you to join us during the inspection or, if
your schedule is tight, at the end of the inspection so we
may walk you through our findings and answer any
questions about the operation of the home’s major
systems. We work with many out-of-town buyers; if you
are unable to attend the inspection, we of course
welcome your questions by phone or email.
How long does a home inspection take?
Our thorough home inspections generally take between
two and three hours on-site, perhaps more based on the

What does a home inspection cost?
Our pricing for a thorough and professional home
inspection starts at $300 and is based on a variety of
factors, including: square footage, foundation type, age
of the home, and additional buildings (barn, workshop,
guest house, etc.). For a specific quote on the home you
are interested in, please give us a call. We accept
checks, cash, Mastercard and Visa.
When do I call to schedule an inspection?
Call us as soon as possible after the contract is signed
and your option period begins. We can usually schedule
an inspection within two to three business days. We will
quickly deliver the professionally written inspection report
with digital photos and a repair summary to you (and your
agent at your request) by email, typically the evening of
the inspection. But don't wait until the last minute.
Additional time may be needed for further evaluation and
testing by specialists.
When is payment due?
Payment is due at the time of the inspection. Payment
may be made by check, cash or MasterCard/Visa.
Can you recommend someone for repairs?
To avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest, we do
not provide referrals for repair work. Your real estate
agent is often a good source for reliable, licensed and
insured contractors and tradespeople.
